It all boils to money in the end. Hackers have numerous ways they can make money from your website once they have control of it. Be it using your website to host illegal/Objectionable, use it as a spam email server, use it boost the SEO of pharmacy sites, spreading their nasty malware to your visitors etc. there is one common reason.. Money!
Unfortunately the days of small businesses relying on “security through obscurity” to protect them are gone forever. Hackers have great financial incentive to unleash sophisticated — and often highly automated — attacks on even the smallest sites.
How Did We Get Hacked ?
Websites are usually hacked for the following reasons: You have not kept your website updated with the latest software updates, your passwords are not strong enough or your server’s file permissions let hackers execute, inject or update files.
Every day, criminals compromise thousands of websites. Hacks are often invisible to users, yet remain harmful to anyone viewing the page — including the site owner. For example, unbeknownst to the site owner, the hacker may have infected their site with harmful code which in turn can record keystrokes on visitors’ computers, stealing login credentials for online banking or financial transactions.

When they find one we actively try to contact the owners and let them know they have been compromised. Even though this search usually returns thousands of results, we currently just contact the owners of the top 200 results. If we have emailed you, that means your business website is in the top 200 hacked websites for this type of Malware.
We understand the immediate response to this email will be suspicion and you will want to know why we have taken the time to contact you about your website being hacked. How To Remove the Warnings.. This site may be hacked ? This site may harm your computer ?
Found your site showing messages like ' This site may be hacked' 'This site may harm your computer', ' Deceptive site ahead' or ' Suspicious redirect' on Google ? and want to know how to remove these google warnings ? Google recommends that such sites should be taken offline immediately until that issue is resolved. They also recommend that anyone finding such a site should report it to them immediately. Our view is we would rather contact the site owners before this happens so they can quickly solve it and avoid being blacklisted.
If we have already contacted you then we will keep monitoring your site and offering to help, we completely understand if you decide to not use our service and fix it another way but highly recommend that you fix this problem immediately. If you do ignore this Malware on your site and thus let your website continue to spread this infection around the internet , we will eventually feel it is our duty to submit your website to Google. They will check your site to see if they need to Blacklist it from the public.
