OneHourSiteFix (and its founding company SharkGate) is not your typical tech start-up. Founded in 2014 by Security Experts that had spent over 20 years working in IT security for multinational brands including Nokia, Microsoft, Accenture, German Stock Exchange and numerous City banks. The ‘light bulb’ moment that started it all was realisation that small businesses were becoming increasingly targeted by hackers (well their bots) who could make large money from these sites and yet these companies often had no in-house security expertise to deal with them.
So, the idea was simple; create an affordable, robust Cloud-based security platform called SharkGate that anyone with a website could turn on to immediately protect themselves from hackers. Utilising our combined experience and the best of our development and support resources from previous companies, we started to build the product and its global service team.

Collected Information

Personally-Identifiable Information

SharkGate receives specific data about its Site visitors when such information is provided voluntarily, such as when our visitors request information, purchase or subscribe for services, submit a support inquiry, provide resume information for employment opportunities, or send us e-mail. Of course, some of these activities require that you give us information, such as when you make a purchase, submit your resume, or request certain types of information.

Non Personally-Identifiable (Generic) Information

SharkGate gathers some generic information automatically. Generally, this information does not reveal the identity of the visitor. It usually includes information about the IP Address (Internet address assigned to your computer), the number and frequency of visitors, and our sites visited. We may automatically collect certain information through the use of cookies and other tracking technologies. We may also disclose your personally identifiable information as required by law, such as to comply with a legal process, when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request. SharkGate may be required to disclose personally identifiable information for compliance with applicable laws. In addition, SharkGate may elect to monitor the areas of communication of any kind (i) to satisfy any law, regulation, or government request; (ii) if such disclosure is necessary or appropriate to operate SharkGate; or (iii) to protect the rights or property of SharkGate or others.

Business Transfer

In connection with the potential sale or transfer of SharkGate (in whole or in part), SharkGate reserves the right to sell or transfer your information (including, but not limited to name, address information, and other information you provided to SharkGate) to a third party.

Cookies & Other Tools

Our Site uses cookies to identify you so you don’t need to log in each time you visit our Sites. The cookies are linked to your customer identifier, which is associated with the information in your account. Within our Site we and our partners, affiliates, and/or analytics or service providers use technologies such as cookies, beacons, tags and scripts to analyze trends, administer the Site, track visitors’ movements around the Site and to gather demographic information about our visitor base as a whole. We also use tracking technologies such as: CI codes (click tracking), ISC (source tracking), and ITC (item tracking codes, attached to purchases at an item level, used to determine where within the application a product was added). We report this data back to our SharkGate web services. These results are not shared with any third parties and are used solely for deciding when to retire SDKs/OS versions and to identify characteristics of major visitors so that we may optimize our applications and services for those visitor types.
You can set your browser to notify you when you receive a cookie and you can refuse it; this may, however, reduce the functionality of certain Site features.

Geolocation Data

We may access and track location data from your device in order to personalize results or other content. We do not tie any personally identifiable information about you to any of the location tracking technologies that we use.

Targeted Advertisements

Absent any instructions from you, SharkGate may use information you provide to inform you about additional services and products offered by SharkGate.

Supplementation of Information

In order to provide certain services to you, we may occasionally need to supplement the information you submit to us with information from third party sources. Security

The security of your personally identifiable information is important to us. We follow generally accepted standards to protect the personally identifiable information submitted to us, both during transmission and once it is received. Even though we take precautions to protect information, no security measures can be 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of your information. Do Not Track Disclosures

Do Not Track (‘DNT’) is a privacy preference that visitors can set in their web browsers. When a visitor turns on DNT, the browser sends a message to websites requesting that they do not track the visitor. At this time, as there is no standard procedure in dealing with these requests – we do not respond to Do Not Track browser settings or signals. Data Retention

We may retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

Visitor Consent

Information that you disclose in a public space, including on any blog, bulletin board, chat room, or website SharkGate may host for you as part of your SharkGate services, is available to anyone else who visits that space. SharkGate cannot safeguard any information you disclose in these locations.
If you voluntarily offer any feedback, data, answers, questions, comments, suggestions, ideas or the like, SharkGate will treat that portion of the information as non-confidential and nonproprietary and, except as otherwise expressed in this Policy, SharkGate assumes no obligation to protect such information from disclosure. To request removal of your personally identifiable information from our blog or community forum, contact us at support@onehoursitefix.com. In some cases, we may not be able to remove your personally identifiable information, in which case we will let you know if we are unable to do so and why.

Third Party Sites

Additionally, the SharkGate Site contains links to sites that belong to third parties unrelated to SharkGate. SharkGate cannot protect any information you may disclose in these sites and recommends that you review the privacy policy statements of those sites you visit.

Transborder Transfer

If you are visiting this Site from a country other than the country in which our servers are located, your communications with us may result in the transfer of information across international boundaries. By visiting this Site and communicating electronically with us, you consent to such transfers.

Access

Upon request we will provide you with information about whether we hold, or process on behalf of a third party, any of your personally identifiable information. Children

Our Site, products, and services are not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. Under the UK Data Protection Act 1998 we have to say who the ‘data controller’ is for www.onehoursitefix.com. The data controller is the organisation responsible for protecting your information and, in our case, is SharkGate Limited, Kemp House, 152-160 City Road, London EC1V 2NX.
If we decide to change our Privacy Notice we will post these changes on this page so that you are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it and in what circumstances we disclose it. If my make a major change to the Privacy Notice we will email you to inform you of the changes. Our terms and conditions (The Deal)

The Deal

Onehoursitefix.com is a trading name of SharkGate Limited whose registered address is Kemp House, 152-160 City Road, London EC1V 2NX with company registration number 09362914.
We are old and wise enough to know we can’t predict the future and that we are not perfect. We will do our very best, and our customers tell us that is really pretty good, but we can not guarantee that nothing will ever go wrong or that we will never make a mistake or that a hacker somewhere in the world one day gets the better of us – temporarily. What we will guarantee is that we will work extremely hard to provide you with the very best possible service to make the internet a safer place to do business for you and all our customers.
This is the deal you are agreeing to when you sign up to use our SharkGate services:
  1. We promise you that we will do our very best to protect and secure your website.
  2. You agree not to sue us and hire hotshot lawyers against us if our very best efforts prove not to be good enough and the hackers get the better of us or we make a human mistake.

The payment and contract stuff

If you have signed up to SharkGate as part of our www.onehoursitefix.com service on our FIX AND PROTECT plan you have signed up for a continuous subscription which will automatically renew, and that the price of your selected subscription plan level and/or add-on(s) will be billed to your designated payment method as a recurring charge for the period (quarterly or yearly) you have signed up for, unless you cancel your subscription(s), through your account dashboard, before the beginning of your next billing period. You will be billed for the full period in which you cancel and no refunds will be given. By purchasing a subscription, you agree to a minimum of one period (quarterly or yearly) purchase obligation. We don’t believe in making it almost impossible to cancel if you are unhappy with what we do. We believe in keeping you happy so you don’t want to cancel in the first place.

If one of your period payments fails because there is no money in your account or for any other reason we won’t cancel your service without first telling you and giving you two weeks to get your account in order.
If we decide to increase our prices we will tell you at least 30 days in advance giving you plenty of time to decide if you wish to accept the new price or not.
Our service is designed for small to medium sized businesses which is why our prices are so competitive. If your website attracts a huge amount of traffic we may decline to accept you as a customer. If this is the case we will contact you immediately and offer you a choice of our Enterprise Level service or an immediate refund of any money that we owe you with no quibble and no ‘administrative’ charges.
We reserve the right to stop providing our service to you for any reason and at any time. We need to reserve this right to mainly to protect ourselves from customers who might be tempted to publish illegal content on websites protected by SharkGate. If we do have to do this we will of course refund any money that we own you with no quibble.

Extra Legal Parts (that by signing up to any of our services you give full agreement to)

Indemnification – Client agrees to indemnify, defend and hold OneHourSiteFix, SharkGate Limited, its officers, directors, employees, stockholders, affiliates, agents and suppliers, from and against any and all third party claims and the related damages, losses or expenses, including but not limited to attorneys’ fees and costs, arising out of or in any way connected with Client’s Content or websites, including without limitation any claims relating to the accessibility of Client’s website and any collection, use, or export of personal information or other data.
Additional Service Notes – OneHourSiteFix, SharkGate Limited is not a back-up service and does not keep a copy of Client’s Content. It also does not keep a backup copy of any malicious files cleaned or removed from a Client’s site or servers
Refund Policy. Customer may be eligible for a refund of some or all subscription fees in the event OneHourSiteFix, SharkGate Limited Services fail to perform, as determined solely by OneHourSiteFix, SharkGate Limited, or in the event of early discontinuation of unused pre-paid Services by OneHourSiteFix, SharkGate Limited. Any refund request must be made, in writing including the reasons for the refund, within thirty (30) days of signing up for the Services. In the event of a refund, OneHourSiteFix, SharkGate Limited may not be able to refund any taxes that Customer paid. OneHourSiteFix, SharkGate Limited will use commercially reasonable efforts to refund promptly any charges (less any amounts that Customer owes) to customer. This Refund Policy shall not apply if Customer is found to be in violation of OneHourSiteFix, SharkGate Limited terms of service.
Limitation of Liability – IN NO EVENT SHALL ONEHOURSITEFIX/SHARKGATE LIMITED, VENDORS OR SUPPLIERS HAVE ANY LIABILITY FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, PUNITIVE OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO, DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, INCOME, GOODWILL, USE, DATA OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, WHETHER IN CONTRACT, TORT OR UNDER ANY THEORY OF LIABILITY EVEN IF ONEHOURSITEFIX/SHARKGATE LIMITED HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. THE TOTAL AND AGGREGATE LIABILITY OF ONEHOURSITEFIX/SHARKGATE LIMITED, VENDORS AND THEIR AFFILIATES AND SUPPLIERS TO CLIENT OR ANY THIRD PARTY SHALL BE LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT OF FEES PAID BY CLIENT FOR THE SERVICES DURING THE ONE (1) MONTH PERIOD PRECEDING THE EVENT THAT GAVE RISE TO THE CLAIM. CLIENT ACKNOWLEDGES AND AGREES THAT ONEHOURSITEFIX/SHARKGATE LIMITED AND VENDOR HAVE OFFERED THE SERVICES AND SET THEIR PRICES IN RELIANCE UPON THE WARRANTY DISCLAIMERS AND THE LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY SET FORTH HEREIN, THAT THE WARRANTY DISCLAIMERS AND THE LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY SET FORTH HEREIN REFLECT A REASONABLE AND FAIR ALLOCATION OF RISK, AND THAT THE WARRANTY DISCLAIMERS AND THE LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY SET FORTH HEREIN FORM AN ESSENTIAL BASIS OF THE BARGAIN BETWEEN CLIENT, VENDOR AND ONEHOURSITEFIX/SHARKGATE LIMITED. ONEHOURSITEFIX/SHARKGATE LIMITED WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO PROVIDE THE SERVICES ON AN ECONOMICALLY REASONABLE BASIS WITHOUT THESE LIMITATIONS.
Disclaimers – VENDOR, ONEHOURSITEFIX/SHARKGATE LIMITED AND ITS SUPPLIERS EXPRESSLY DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND WITH RESPECT TO THE SERVICES , WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT AND ANY EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES ARISING FROM ANY COURSE OF DEALING, USAGE, OR TRADE PRACTICE. ONEHOURSITEFIX/SHARKGATE LIMITED MAKES NO WARRANTY THAT: 1. THE SERVICES WILL MEET CLIENT’S REQUIREMENTS OR EXPECTATIONS; 2. THE APPLICABLE SITE TO WHICH CLIENT’S TRAFFIC IS ROUTED WILL BE AVAILABLE AT ALL TIMES, UNINTERRUPTED OR FREE FROM DOWNTIME OR INOPERABILITY; OR 3. THE SERVICES WILL WITHSTAND ATTEMPTS TO EVADE SECURITY MECHANISMS OR THAT THERE WILL BE NO BREACH OF THE SERVICES’ SECURITY MEASURES.
